Steph is a qualified integrative counsellor registered with the National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society [NCPS] offering online and in-person counselling at The Wellbeing Garden in Bath.
Style of working
After many years working in the voluntary sector with both child and adult victims of domestic and sexual abuse, Steph decided to train to become a counsellor. This training has enabled Steph to offer a therapeutic approach to supporting people who have experienced harm and abuse, offering a trauma-informed approach to healing body, mind and spirit.
Steph has also worked for many years in addiction services and facilitated one-to-one and group recovery. Steph offers psychoeducational sessions and holds a deep interest in working with addictive behaviours.
Steph has a special interest in working with women who have or are experiencing peri and post natal depression and the challenges of perimenopause and menopause. Women's issues have always been close to Steph's heart. Reach out to Steph about women's groups related to these issues.
Working in a beautiful environment such as The Wellbeing Garden, allows Steph to offer 'walk and talk' sessions in this peaceful, safe location. Steph is a firm believer in the body/mind connection. "To heal the mind means to heal the body', says Steph, "I work somatically to help you understand and support your body in its healing journey". With this in mind, Steph is also a trained meditation teacher.
Deeply compassionate, intuitive and empathic, Steph creates a safe environment to explore the reasons you have come to therapy and it is her hope that together you can create a healing journey that allows you to move forward with peace and contentment in your life.
